A full month of enthralling football in the FIFA World Cup 2022 is about to culminate with the clash of the titans in the final. Lionel Messi-driven Argentina take on the invincible French juggernaut led by their coach Didier Deschamps at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.
France got the better of a highly-spirited Moroccan unit in the semi-final courtesy of goals from Theo Hernandez and Randal Kolo Muani. The African team had their share of chances, but the defence led by Raphael Varane did not let anything behind their keeper.
Argentina had a rather smooth sailing against Croatia in the first semi-final. Croatia, who managed to squeeze the life out of their last two opponents in the round of 16 and quarterfinals, failed to do the same with the Albiceleste.
After Lionel Messi gave them the lead with a terrifically taken penalty, Julian Alvarez scored twice - a terrific solo attempt with a slice of fortune in the first strike and some Messi-magic sprinkled on the second.

Messi, who is possibly the strongest contender for the Golden Ball with five goals and three assists, has made one goal contribution more than his French counterpart (Mbappe - five goals + two assists).
