The Premier League 2023-24 title race will be decided on the final day of the season on Sunday, May 19.

Both Manchester City and Arsenal have a chance to win the Premier League 2023-24 title heading into Sunday’s final round of fixtures.

Three-time defending champions Manchester City are aiming to become the first team to win the Premier League title four times in a row.

Having registered 27 wins, seven draws and three defeats, Manchester City are currently placed at top of the Premier League 2023-24 standings with 88 points from 37 games.

The Citizens will be the favourites to clinch an unprecedented fourth consecutive Premier League title on Sunday.

On the other hand, Arsenal are placed second in the Premier League 2023-24 standings with 86 points from 37 matches.

Having secured 27 victories, five draws and suffered five losses, Arsenal are two points behind City heading into the final game.

Interestingly, Arsenal was the last team to come from behind on the final matchday to be crowned Premier League champions in the 1988-89 season. 

The Gunners claimed the title courtesy Michael Thomas' stoppage-time goal in the final game of the season against fellow title challengers Liverpool at Anfield.

How can Manchester City win the Premier League title?

Manchester City will host West Ham in their final Premier League game of the 2023-24 season at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. 

Under the tutelage of manager Pep Guardiola, Manchester City will win the Premier League title if they beat West Ham at their home.

If they fail to win, the Citizens will need Arsenal to lose their final game against Everton to win the Premier League title.

How can Arsenal win the Premier League title?

Arsenal head into the final day of the season with a chance of winning the Premier League for the first time since 2004. 

Led by manager Mikel Arteta, Arsenal will host Everton in their final league game at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

For Arsenal to win the Premier League 2023-24 title, they first need to beat Everton at home. The Gunners also need City to drop points at home to West Ham.

In case, City are held to a draw by West Ham, both Arsenal and City will finish the season level on points. However, Arsenal will win the Premier League title due to their superior goal difference.
