Gameweek 2 of the Premier League turned out to be a rather tricky one for fantasy managers. Both the most captained player Mohamed Salah and the most picked midfielder Bruno Fernandes failed to deliver, drawing blanks.

The upcoming Gameweek is a tricky one to call as well with Liverpool hosting Chelsea at Anfield while Arsenal travel to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City. On the other hand, Manchester United make an away trip to the Molineux Stadium to play Wolves.

A win or even a draw for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men will see Manchester United create history as they would stretch their unbeaten away run in English top-flight football to 28 games.

Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek 3 tips to make your team

Best attacker: Danny Ings

Aston Villa’s summer signing Danny Ings has hit the ground running at his new club. The former Southampton man has scored in both the opening two games of the season and a home match against Brentford is a perfect opportunity to add to his tally. While Brentford’s defensive record has been good this season, it’s worth noting that they have allowed their opponents a whopping 18 shots from inside the penalty box, which is an area of the pitch that Ings has made a career of excelling in.

Best defender: Aymeric Laporte

One might consider the likes of Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold or Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso for their fantasy team, but it’s worth mentioning that their chances of keeping a clean sheet aren’t very high since the two clinical teams clash over the weekend. However, Manchester City’s Aymeric Laporte could be a handy option. Considering Arsenal have conceded four goals in two league matches and are yet to score a goal themselves, a clean sheet for City seems highly probable. Furthermore, Laporte will be a threat for Manchester City in attacking set-plays - an area of Arsenal’s game that needs improvement.

Best player: Michail Antonio

West Ham United forward Michail Antonio is the second most picked player in Fantasy Premier League after Said Benrahma. The 31-year-old has made a fantastic start to the new Premier League season, scoring three goals and assisting thrice, resulting in a total of 29 fantasy points from two games. With West Ham playing a struggling Crystal Palace side at home, expect Antonio to deliver yet another masterclass.
