The FA Cup 2022-23 fifth round will kick off on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, with EFL Championship’s Stoke City taking on Premier League’s Brighton & Hove Albion

The record FA Cup winners Arsenal were knocked out in the fourth round by Manchester City, after a 0-1 loss at the Etihad Stadium. The Citizens, who have recently been rocked by Financial Fair Play breaches, will face Bristol City, who beat West Bromwich Albion 3-0 in the previous round, away from home on March 1.

Meanwhile, Manchester United, the 12-time FA Cup champions, play West Ham United in an all-Premier League clash in the fifth round this season. The Red Devils continued their merry run in the tournament against Reading in this competition, defeating them for a third consecutive time.

West Ham United, on the other hand, emerged victorious against Derby County, courtesy of early goals on either side of half time. The Hammers have lost on their previous two visits to Old Trafford.

Tottenham Hotspur, too, made it to the FA Cup 2022-23 fifth round after winning 3-0 at Preston North End. Spurs will travel to Bramall Lane on March 2 to battle it out with Sheffield United, who beat Wrexham in a fourth round replay, for a place in the fifth round of the tournament.

Leicester City, Leeds United and Southampton will be the other three confirmed Premier League teams in action in the fifth round of this season’s FA Cup.

Fulham will host Leeds in the other all-Premier League contest of the fifth round.

EFL Championship’s 2022-23 leaders Burnley, managed by former Man City player Vincent Kompany, will play at home against League One side Fleetwood Town.
