The Argentina national football team will take on Ecuador in their quarter-final clash of Copa America 2021 at the Estadio Olimpico Pedro Ludovico in Goiânia, Brazil, on Sunday, July 4.

The Lionel Messi-led La Albiceleste have remained unbeaten in the ongoing edition of Copa America so far and they are currently on a 17-match unbeaten streak. After playing a disappointing 1-1 draw against Chile in their opening fixture, Argentina have registered three consecutive victories against Uruguay (1-0), Paraguay (1-0) and Bolivia (4-1). With 10 points from four games, Lionel Scaloni’s men finished at the top of the Copa America Group A standings.

On the other hand, the Ecuador national football team squeezed into the quarter-final stage after managing a 1-1 draw against host Brazil in their final group match.

After succumbing to a 1-0 defeat against Colombia in their first match of Copa America 2021, Gustavo Alfaro’s men played three successive draws against Venezuela (2-2), Peru (2-2) and Brazil to finish fourth in Group B. La Tri ended the group stage with three points from four games and finished ahead of fifth-placed Venezuela.
