The Skyesports BGMI POVA Cup 2023 Grand Finals esports tournament began on December 26 and will conclude on December 27 in India.
Organised by Skyesports in partnership with Pova, as many as 16 top teams are competing in the Skyesports BGMI POVA Cup 2023 Grand Finals.
Team Omega, Orangutan Gaming, Medal Esports, Team Tamilas, Aerobotz, Reckoning Esports, Entity Gaming, Big Brother Esports, Team Numen, Anonymous Esports, Hyderabad Hydras, Team Empire, Hidden Ones, Enigma Gaming, Marcos Gaming and Team Manya are the 16 BGMI teams that are battling for the title in the online Indian eSports tournament.
Marcos Gaming currently lead the Skyesports BGMI POVA Cup 2023 Grand Finals points table and standings after Day 1 with a total of 81 points. Enigma Gaming and Big Brothers are on 70 points each and follow Marcos Gaming on the points table. Each team will play 12 matches each across two days. The team finishing at the top of the standings after all matches will be crowned winner of the BGMI tournament.
The Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) tournament is being held in three phases—Qualifiers, Semifinals, and the Grand Finals. More than 6000 players from across the country registered for the fourth edition of the POVA Cup.
From the open qualifiers, the top six teams advanced to the semi-finals. As many as 24 BGMI teams featured in the semi-finals which included the six qualified teams and 18 invited teams.
In the semi-final stage, these 24 participating teams were divided into three groups of eight. Matches were staged in a round-robin format on December 24 and 25.
Each team played eight matches each to determine the 16 finalists from the overall standings.
Live streaming of the Skyesports BGMI POVA Cup 2023 Grand Finals will be available on the Skyesports’ YouTube channel from 7 PM IST.
