Live streaming, PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 1 begins on May 10: Where to watch- get schedule, teams and format

The PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 1 will start on May 10 and run till May 19 in  Bucharest, Romania.

Hosted by Romanian event organizer PGL, as many as 16 eSports teams will compete in PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 1.

PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 1 schedule and format

The PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 1 will be staged in two phases - Group Stage and Playoffs.

The Group Stage of the inaugural PGL Wallachia will begin on May 10 and conclude on May 15. It will be held in a modified Swiss-system. All group matches will be played in a best-of-three series. 

The top eight teams will qualify for the playoffs while the remaining eight will be eliminated.

Meanwhile, the PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 1 playoffs will be held in a double-elimination bracket from May 16-19. All playoff matches except the Grand Final will be played in a best-of-three series.

The PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 1 Grand Final will be staged in a best-of-five.

The PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 1 will see 16 top teams compete for the title. 

As many as 10 of the 16 teams were invited while six teams have booked their place through regional qualifiers.

PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 1 prize pool

The PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 1 has a total prize pool of $1 million USD.

The winner of the Dota 2 tournament will bag a cash prize of 300,000 USD while the runner-up will get 175,000 USD.

The third and fourth-placed teams will receive 120,000 USD and 80,000 USD, respectively.
