The Overwatch World Cup 2023 is scheduled to start on October 29 and run till November 4 in Anaheim, California.
Organised by Blizzard Entertainment, the Overwatch World Cup 2023 is an offline American S-Tier eSports tournament to be held at the Anaheim Convention Center.
As many as 16 teams will compete to be crowned the first Overwatch World Cup champion since 2019.

Overwatch World Cup 2023 format
The top 16 teams have been divided into four groups of four teams each. Matches will be played behind closed doors in a round-robin format to determine the top teams advancing to the finals bracket.
In the playoffs, matches will be played in front of an audience at the Anaheim Convention Center in a single-elimination format.

Overwatch World Cup 2023 prize pool
The Overwatch World Cup 2023 prize pool is crowdfunded by themed in-game cosmetics.
According to the organisers, 25% of Blizzard’s revenue from the sale of Overwatch World Cup crowdfunding cosmetics and bundles will be contributed to the Overwatch World Cup prize pool.
There will be no contribution cap, so prizing will continue to grow until crowdfunding ends on the last day of the Overwatch World Cup Finals. The final amount will be announced on the day of the Grand Finals.
The winner of the Overwatch World Cup 2023 will get 25% of the total prize pool, while the runner-up will get 10% of it.
