The League Championship Series (LCS) Spring 2024 started on January 20 and will run till March 31 in Los Angeles, United States.
Organised by Riot Games, LCS Spring 2024 is the first split of the eleventh year of North America's professional League of Legends league.
Most matches of LCS Spring 2024 are held at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles, California. The LCS Spring 2024 finals is scheduled to be staged at PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Established in 2013, the League Championship Series is the top level of professional League of Legends in the United States and Canada.
Cloud9 won the previous edition of LCS Spring in 2023.
LCS Spring 2024 format
The LCS Spring 2024 is staged in a new format with eight League of Legends teams competing in the regional league instead of the usual 10.
Golden Guardians and Evil Geniuses are the two teams that have exited from the league after last season’s summer split.
Additionally, Team SoloMid also left the franchise and sold its slot to Shopify Rebellion.
As per the LCS Spring 2024, the group matches are played in a double round-robin format in best-of-one.
The top six teams will qualify for the playoffs. The top four teams start in the Upper Bracket while teams placed fifth and sixth will commence in the Lower Bracket.
The top two teams from LCS Spring 2024 will qualify for League of Legends’ Mid-Season Invitational 2024.
