The King Pro League Summer 2024 will start on June 12 and run till September 14 in China. 

Organised by Tencent Games, Fighting Esports Group and VSPO, the King Pro League Summer 2024 will be the 17th season of King Pro League, the highest league tournament of Honor of Kings. 

Wolves are the defending champions after beating AG Super Play 4-3 in the finals last season.

King Pro League Summer 2024 schedule and format

The King Pro League Summer 2024 will be staged in phases - Group Stage, Playoffs and Grand Final.

The Group Stage will take place in different stages from June 12 to August 25.

In the first stage, as many as 18 teams will be split into three pots - Pots 1, 2 and 3 based on the Spring 2024 final rankings, then divided into three groups of six teams.

Meanwhile, the newly promoted teams from KGL Spring 2024 will automatically be seeded into Pot 3.

The three groups will compete in a best-of-five single round-robin format from June 12-30. The two teams in each group will be seeded into Group S in the next stage.

The middle two teams in each group will be seeded in Group A in Stage 2 while the bottom two-placed teams will be seeded into Group B in the next stage.

The Stage 2 of the Group Stage will be held from July 3-21. Three groups will play in a best-of-five single round-robin format.

Following this round, some teams will clash in the seat decider match to be staged from July 23-24. 

All matches will be in a best-of-seven series. Teams from the higher group will have side selection for game 1 while the loser of the game will pick sides for the next game.

After the completion of this stage, all teams in Group B will be eliminated from the tournament. Rankings of eliminated teams will be based on Stage 2 performance.

The third and final stage will see two remaining groups compete in a single round-robin format. All matches in this stage will take place in a best-of-five. 

The two bottom-placed teams in Group A will be knocked out.

Meanwhile, the King Pro League Summer 2024 playoffs will be held in a double-elimination format from August 29 to September 8. All matches will be played in a best-of-seven series.

The top four teams in Group S will be seeded into the Winners bracket while teams placed fifth and sixth will be seeded into the Lower Bracket R1. 

The higher ranked team in Stage 3 will have side selection for game 1 while the loser will pick sides for the subsequent game.

The King Pro League Summer 2024 Grand Finals will be held on September 14. The finals will be in a best-of-seven series. 

The Winners bracket Finals winner will have side selection for game 1 while the loser of the game will pick sides for the following game.

King Pro League Summer 2024 prize pool

The King Pro League Summer 2024 has a total prize pool of a whopping ¥3,600,000 ($2,069,593). 

The winner of the Honor of Kings tournament will receive a cash prize of ¥15,000,000 ($496,702).
