The Arena of Valor International Championship 2023 started on November 30 and will run till December 24 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Organised by popular online game developer Garena, the Arena of Valor International Championship 2023 is the seventh iteration under the AIC franchise.

The A-Tier eSports tournament has been descaled to feature only teams in the Garena Region for the first time under the AIC franchise.

Furthermore, this will be the first AIC with no involvement from either Level Infinite or TiMi Studios.

Vietnam’s V Gaming won the last edition of the Arena of Valor International Championship in 2022.

Arena of Valor International Championship 2023 schedule and format

The Arena of Valor International Championship 2023 is staged in two phases - Group Stage and Knockout Stage.

The Group Stage of the tournament will be held from November 30 to December 10.

As per the format, the 12 participating teams have been divided into two groups (Group A and Group B) of six teams each.

The Group Stage matches are played in a single-round format in a best-of-three series.

The top four teams from each group will advance to the Knockout Stage.

The Knockout Stage will be held in a double elimination bracket. Knockout Stage Round 1 matches will be played in a best-of-five series while remaining matches will be held in a best-of-seven series. 

All matches are played with Global Ban Pick Rule.

The Arena of Valor International Championship 2023 has a total prize pool of $500,000. The total prize pool has been decreased from $1,685,000, which was offered last year.
