Sparrow – New Recon legend coming to Apex Legends in Season 25

A new season begins, and a new face is coming to Apex Legends’ roster. His name is Sparrow, the Agile Archer, and he’s going to be unlocked for all from 6th to 20th May 2025. See what he’s bringing to the table right here at SportsAdda and what he’ll be like to play in Season 25:
Basic information
Sparrow, the Agile Archer, is a Recon Legend with all the mobility fitting for a Skirmisher. Aiming is going to be a high skill ceiling for this character, because all of his abilities require precision and decisive actions.
The Bocek Compound Bow also returns to the game with a fresh new mechanism. Picking it up now comes with a preset number of arrows, which can only be replenished by picking them up from Death Boxes. All Legends can combine these arrows with frag grenades to make explosive arrows. Sparrow has a passive buff that lets him carry more of this ammunition at all times.
Sparrow’s abilities as a Legend
As with all Legends, Sparrow has a passive, tactical, and ultimate ability. Here’s a quick rundown of how each one works and its intended use in combat.
Passive Ability: Double Jump/Wall Launch
Sparrow’s Double Jump is a unique ability to jump mid-air once with a 1.5-second cooldown. It changes to Wall Launch while climbing walls, allowing him to launch in any direction for easy manoeuvring.
Players can chain Sparrow’s double jump from super glides to carry his momentum, propelling him further forward than any Legend. He can cover a lot of ground in an instant if you can time it correctly.
Tactical Ability: Tracker Dart
Using the Tactical Ability, shoots a small dart on any surface. It scans the area and marks enemies, allowing Sparrow to see them through walls and how far they are. This is great for covering chokepoints and flanks. Use the double jump to hit tricky angles. Using the Tracker Dart activates Survey Beacons it hits, and the activation is instant.
Ultimate Ability: Stinger Bolt
Sparrow fires a big arrow at a target surface, which charges up while scanning the room. It explodes, dealing damage and slowing down enemies. This is great for taking down enemy traps and shields, or taking the upper hand in a choke point.
Afterthoughts on the Agile Archer
Sparrow encourages players to use the Bocek Compound Arrow whenever possible, and his mid-air advantage makes him wonderful in a skirmish. Jump mid-air to line up head-shots or sneak in explosive arrows in strategic positions.
He has all of that amazing combat utility, but never forget that the Tracker Dart is his bread and butter. Make the most of it whenever possible to avoid flanks and capitalise on enemies’ poor positioning.
