LA Thieves defeat FaZe to claim Call of Duty League Major title

Los Angeles Thieves won CDL Major 4 after beating Atlanta FaZe 4-2 in the finals at DreamHack Dallas. This marks their second straight Call of Duty League title. They also earned $150,000 and now sit first with 540 points.
The team started as the fourth seed and beat Vancouver Surge 3-0 in their first match. However, Miami Heretics sent them to the lower bracket after a close 3-2 loss.
They responded with back-to-back wins, defeating Toronto Ultra and OpTic Texas 3-1 to stay in the tournament. Then, the Thieves faced Miami Heretics again and swept the team 3-0 to reach the final against FaZe.
LA Thieves took the first game 250-177 and won the second 6-4. They lost the third and fourth matches but came back strong, closing the final game with a 3-0 win.
This victory moved LA Thieves to the top of the overall standings. Now, they head into Championship Weekend as the leaders. The final event will run from June 26 to 29 in Kitchener, Canada.
The eight teams are locked in, with Carolina Royal Ravens, OpTic Texas, and Boston Breach taking the last spots. LA Thieves will enter as the team to beat.
