The ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) has signed a deal with the International Games and Esports Tribunal (IGET) to ensure tournament fairness and integrity. They have become the first esports organiser to join hands with IGET since its launch in January of this year.

IGET was created by the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) in partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organisation. It works as an independent body to handle sensitive cases in esports.

Stephen Hanna, head of IGET, said the deal shows a shared aim to solve issues in esports more simply and fairly. He added that IGET will support EFG as the system becomes part of its events.

The deal comes as ESIC continues to fight against cheating. It brought in partners like ggCircuit, Thunderpick, and Gamercraft to back fair play. It has also taken strong action, such as banning Chinese StarCraft II player Xue 'Firefly' Tao for life after being found guilty of match-fixing.
