G2 Esports finally accepted Ilya โ€˜m0NESYโ€™ Osipovโ€™s transfer after months of rejection. The Russian CS2 AWPer has signed a contract with Team Falcons. Reported as a multi-million dollar deal, it is currently the โ€˜biggest transferโ€™ in the history of the Counter-Strike esports scene.

m0NESY will reportedly replace the current Team Falconsโ€™ sniper, Abdulkhalik โ€˜degsterโ€™ Gasanov, for the upcoming 2025 BLAST.tv Auston Major this June. According to the updated roster, m0NESY will reunite with his former teammate, Nikola โ€˜NiKoโ€™ Kovaฤ.

As Team Falcon prepares for the tournament, the competing players are revealed. Hereโ€™s the final roster:

  • Damjan โ€˜kyxsanโ€™ Stoilkovski
  • Emil โ€˜Magiskโ€™ Reif
  • Renรฉ โ€˜TeSeSโ€™ Madsen
  • Nikola โ€˜NiKoโ€™ Kovaฤ
  • Ilya โ€˜m0NESYโ€™ Osipov.

G2 Esports hasnโ€™t released an official statement about the star playerโ€™s departure yet. Losing a high-calibre player may affect their performance in the upcoming tournaments. In the meantime, m0NESYโ€™s final appearance as a G2 Esports player might be at PGL Bucharest 2025.

The addition of m0NESY to Team Falcons can change the teamโ€™s unstable outputs for the better. Knowing that m0NESY and NiKo were former teammates, their gameplay dynamics might help improve Team Falconsโ€™ spotty performance.
