Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium is a cricketing venue located in the port city of Chattogram, in the southeastern region of Bangladesh.

The venue was built ahead of the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2004 when Bangladesh hosted its first-ever ICC event.

However, the stadium was granted full international status two years later in January 2006 in the build-up to the Sri Lanka tour of Bangladesh.

Since then, the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium has hosted matches of several big-ticket events, including the likes of World Cup 2011, Men’s and Women’s T20 World Cup 2014 and Under-19 World Cup 2016.

Here’s a look at the ODI records at the venue:

Highest total: The highest total in an ODI match at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium is 409/8 made by Team India in the third ODI of the India tour of Bangladesh 2022.

Batting first, Ishan Kishan’s maiden double-century in ODIs helped India post 409/8, their sixth 400+ total in ODIs

In reply, a mediocre batting performance saw the hosts muster only 182 in 34 overs, losing the match by 227 runs.

Lowest total: 44/10 is the lowest total in an ODI recorded at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

In the fourth ODI of the Zimbabwe tour of Bangladesh 2009, the visitors were bundled out for 44 thanks to an all-round bowling performance by the Bangla Tigers.

With a target as low as 45, Zimbabwe did their best to put up a fight before Bangladesh finally won by six wickets.

Highest individual score: Ishan Kishan smashed 210 in the third ODI of the India tour of Bangladesh 2022, which is the highest individual score at this venue.

The knock, which consisted of 24 fours and 10 sixes, helped his team set a target of 410, which was comfortably defended by the bowlers.

Best bowlingA host of players have bagged four-wicket hauls in ODIs at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, with Bangladesh southpaw Shakib Al Hasan recording the best figures among them all. In fact, Shakib has taken four wickets in a single match twice at this venue.

Afghanistan’s Fazalhaq Farooqi, Englishmen Adil Rashid and Tim Bresnan, along with Bangladesh spinner Arafat Sunny, are the others to record the feat.

Highest partnership: Indian pair Ishan Kishan and Virat Kohli stitched together a stand of 290 runs, the highest partnership in ODIs recorded at the stadium.

In the third ODI of the India tour of Bangladesh 2022, the duo toyed with the hosts' bowlers to register a 290-run stand in the first innings.

Thereafter, India won that match convincingly by 227 runs.
