Trailblazers vs Velocity recent form

Trailblazers are the only team yet to win a match this season. The team opened the tournament against Supernovas on May 23 and lost out to the bowling brilliance of Pooja Vastrakar, who picked four wickets for just 12 runs.

The team sits at the bottom of the three-team tournament standings and thanks to a net run rate of a lowly -2.450, they need a big win on Thursday in order to get a place in the final.

For Velocity, they won the only game they have played this season. Up against Supernovas on May 24, the team rode on captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s 51-ball 71 to win the match by seven wickets.

Trailblazers vs Velocity head to head

Trailblazers and Velocity have played just two games in the Women’s T20 Challenge, with both teams winning one game each. Their first meeting, which was a rather low-scoring affair, came on May 8, 2019.

Trailblazers were sent to bat first and the team could only muster 112/6 in 20 overs. Velocity achieved the target with three wickets and 12 balls remaining.

Their second meeting was even shorter as Velocity were bundled out for a mere 47. Sophie Ecclestone shone the brightest for Trailblazer, picking four wickets for just nine runs as her team won the match by nine wickets inside eight overs.

Considering the recent run of form, it’s easier to understand why Velocity are the odds on favourites to beat Trailblazers. For the latter, only a victory by an impractical margin could turn the tides, while for the former, playing their natural game would be more than enough.
