Sri Lanka will take on Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022 final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, September 11. The Asia Cup T20I final will start at 7:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).

Since suffering an eight-wicket defeat against Afghanistan in Asia Cup 2022 opener, the Sri Lanka cricket team has bounced back strongly to register a thrilling victory against Bangladesh in their final Group B clash and followed it by securing wins over Afghanistan, India and Pakistan in their Super 4 clashes.

Led by Dasun Shanaka, Sri Lanka stormed into the Asia Cup 2022 final after finishing at the top of the Super 4 standings with six points from three matches.

On the other hand, the Pakistan cricket team booked their place in the summit clash after winning two of their three matches in the Super 4 stage. While the Babar Azam-led side defeated two-time defending champions India by five wickets in their first Super 4 clash, the Men in Green pipped rivals Afghanistan by one wicket in a nail-biting encounter in Sharjah to qualify for the Asia Cup 2022 final.

Earlier, Pakistan finished second in Group A standings to secure their place in the Super 4 stage. While Pakistan succumbed to a five-wicket loss against arch-rivals India in their opening Group A encounter, they thrashed Hong Kong by 155 runs in a must-win clash to move to the Super 4 round.
