The Bangladesh cricket team will begin their tour of South Africa with a three-match ODI series starting Friday, March 18.
The Bangla Tigers are coming fresh off a 2-1 series win over Afghanistan and will entertain an equally upbeat South Africa cricket team that is in high spirits after securing a 3-0 whitewash against India in the 50-over format.
Bangladesh are set to welcome back star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan to the team after he had earlier announced a break from international cricket until April 30 due to mental and physical fatigue.
South Africa, meanwhile, will be without pacer Sisanda Magala who misses out from the 16-man squad due to fitness concerns. He joins Anrich Nortje on the sidelines as he recovers from a hip injury.
The three-match ODI series will be played between Centurion and Johannesburg, and will finish three days ahead of the start of the upcoming Indian T20 League 2022.
