Sri Lanka will square off against Bangladesh in a virtual knockout Group B match in Asia Cup 2022 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday, September 1. The match will start at 7:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).
Led by Dasun Shanaka, Sri Lanka started their Asia Cup 2022 campaign with a disappointing eight-wicket defeat against Afghanistan in Dubai on Saturday.
Similarly, the Shakib Al Hasan-led Bangladesh team also lost their opening match against Afghanistan in the ongoing T20 tournament. A clinical performance from Afghanistan helped them beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets in their second and final Group B match to become the first team to qualify for the Super 4.
The winner of the Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh encounter will also advance to the Super 4 round.
