So, that's it from this one-off Test. Bangladesh prevailed over the visitors and now the action switches to white-ball cricket. The Bangla Tigers will face Zimbabwe in a 3-match ODI series. The first one is on 1st March 2020 at 1300 local (0700 GMT). Do join us for all the action. Till then, take care and cheers!!!

Bangladesh skipper, Mominul Haque says that sometimes as a captain you have to adjust with the difficult start to the career. Mentions that the boys played well as a team. He praises Nayeem Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim and Najmul Hasan for their efforts. Adds that he is happy to score some runs and contribute to success. Ends by saying that the boys are eager to play some white-ball cricket and wishes them good luck to win there too.

For his brilliant unbeaten double century, MUSHFIQUR RAHIM IS GIVEN THE MAN OF THE MATCH! Says that they badly needed this win as they lost the last 6 Test matches. Credits the bowlers for setting it up in the first innings and then the top order for laying a good platform. Mentions that he was lucky to make it big and score a double century and lauds the batting effort of Mominul Haque. Feels that they played well in all the three departments and hopes to repeat the same in the coming games.

Zimbabwe skipper, Craig Ervine says that it was nice to get runs but is disappointed with the loss. He wants to take the positives from this game. Feels that they didn't kick off from the start and should have got more than 265 in their first innings. Also adds that they got starts but failed to convert them. Mentions that the bowlers did not hit the right lines and lengths as compared to the Bangla bowlers who made them work hard for runs. States that whenever they tried to get into good positions, a wicket fell and the momentum slipped from their side. Signs off by saying that they are looking forward to playing white-ball cricket.

In the end, poor batting, poor bowling and poor fielding meant Zimbabwe ended on the losing side. They could have done way better than this but the inexperience in the side along with the unwillingness to apply themselves cost them big. Stay tuned for the presentation...

As far Bangladesh's batting is concerned, Saif Hassan departed cheaply but a 78-run stand between the experienced Tamim Iqbal and Najmul Hossain Shanto revived their innings. Tamim departed in the 40s and then Shanto followed him after a well-compiled 71 runs. Then came a marathon partnership of 222 runs between Mushfiqur Rahim and Mominul Haque. The duo reached their respective tons too. Mominul though departed, Rahim completed his double ton. In the end, Bangladesh ended up gaining a massive 295-run lead. Talking of the Zimbabwe bowling, they were poor in their approach. Dishing out freebies did not help their cause as they struggled to take wickets regularly.

Coming to the match, Zimbabwe won the toss and chose to bat. They put on 265 in the first innings courtesy a 111-run stand between skipper Craig Ervine and Prince Masvaure. Masvaure though was dismissed in the 60s, Ervine continued to play his game and eventually got to his 3rd Test ton. His departure soon opened the floodgates. For Bangladesh, Nayeem Hasan and Abu Jayed both took 4 wickets apiece to restrict Zimbabwe under 270.

Soon after the Lunch break, Zimbabwe lost Sikandar Raza who was batting well on 37 but a brilliant effort in the field from Mushfiqur Rahim saw him heading back to the pavilion. With the writing on the wall, Timycen Maruma put up a fight with some fearless batting but he was only delaying the inevitable. Once Maruma got dismissed the game was over there and then. Nayeem Hasan was the chief destroyer as he took 5 wickets in this innings and was ably supported by Taijul Islam who also took 4 wickets.

A thumping win for the Bangla Tigers. They have broken their 6-match losing streak in the longest format and will be relieved. They were brilliant and clinical in their approach. 9 wickets fell to spinners and that tells the story in itself. Bangladesh began the day superbly by strangling the run-flow and picking a couple of quick wickets early on before a 60-run stand between Sikandar Raza and Craig Ervine revived the slightest of hopes for the visitors. But skipper, Ervine's wicket at the stroke of Lunch came across as a big blow and snatched away all the momentum they had got.

    Taijul Islam to Charlton Tshuma

OUT! LBW! Three reds and Tshuma has to walk back to the pavilion. Tossed up delivery on middle, Tshuma looks to defend but gets hit on the pads. The bowler appeals for lbw and the umpire raises his finger. Tshuma immediately goes for the review. The replays roll in and here comes the Ultra Edge it shows there is no bat involved. Now we move onto the Ball Tracker and it shows that it is hitting the middle stump. BANGLADESH WIN BY AN INNINGS AND 106 RUNS!
