The Saurashtra Premier League 2022 will start on Thursday, June 2 when defending champions Sorath Lions will lock horns with Zalawad Royals in the opening match
Organised by the Saurashtra Cricket Association, the second edition of Saurashtra Premier League will see five teams fight for the coveted title across 11 matches.
Sorath Lions, Zalawad Royals, Halar Heroes, Kutch Warriors and Gohilwad Gladiators are the five teams participating in the upcoming T20 tournament.
Each team will play the other sides in the competition once in a round-robin format in the league phase. Every team is scheduled to play four matches, with the top two teams qualifying for the Saurashtra Premier League 2022 final to be played on Saturday, June 11.
All matches of SPL 2022 will be played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
Sorath Lions are the reigning champions of Saurashtra Premier League, having clinched the inaugural edition of the tournament by beating Zalawad Royals by five runs in the 2019 final.
