Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has been hospitalised, six days after he tested positive for the global virus on March 27.
Taking to Twitter, the world's highest run-getter in Test and ODI cricket announced the development stating that he has been hospitalised as a precautionary measure.
"Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home in a few days. Take care and stay safe everyone,” the 47-year-old wrote.

Tendulkar, who was part of the 2011 World Cup-winning Indian team, also wished his teammates on the 10th anniversary of the victory.
"Wishing all Indians & my teammates on the 10th anniversary of our World Cup win," he tweeted.
Tendulkar was recently seen in action during the Road Safety World Series, where he led the India Legends to the title by beating Sri Lanka Legends in the finals.
However, four members of the India Legends squad -- Tendulkar, Subramaniam Badrinath, Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan tested positive for the global virus following the completion of the tournament.
