Rajasthan will look to leave behind their disheartening defeat against Punjab in their Indian T20 League 2021 opener, when they host Delhi at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, April 15.

New Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson made a memorable captaincy debut on Monday when his 63-ball 119 took his team excruciatingly close to a historic win against Punjab. Rajasthan fell short by just four runs.

The other new captain in the Indian T20 League, Rishabh Pant saw Delhi off to a winning start against the MS Dhoni-led Chennai in the second match of the tournament.

The clash between Rajasthan and Delhi will be that of equals, not only because of the two young Indian players making their captaincy debuts in the Indian T20 League 2021, but also for their perfectly split head-to-head as well. Watch Rajasthan vs Delhi live!

Rajasthan and Delhi have faced each other 22 times in the tournament so far, with both sides winning 11 times each. Not only that, but both the teams have also won at the Wankhede only four times.

A huge concern for Rajasthan, however, will be the absence of all-rounder Ben Stokes who was recently ruled out for the season after he broke his finger. Delhi, on the other hand, will be welcoming back their star bowler Kagiso Rabada into the team after the South African bowler’s quarantine ended.
