The Pakistan cricket team will host South Africa in a two-match Test series starting from January 26, Tuesday, at the National Stadium, Karachi. This will be the Proteas’ first international tour of Pakistan since 2007.
With the South Africa cricket team coming to the contest fresh from a 2-0 series win against Sri Lanka, the Proteas could be the favourites against a Pakistan side that was recently beaten 2-0 by New Zealand away from home.
With India (430 points), New Zealand (420 points) and Australia (332 points) leading the ICC World Test Championship points table, South Africa (144 points) have little chance of qualifying for the final. The two-match Pakistan vs South Africa Test series will have 60 points on offer.
