Pakistan tour of Netherlands 2022 comprises three ODIs and will begin on Tuesday, August 16. All the matches will be a part of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League and will be played at Hazelaarweg Stadium in Rotterdam.

This is going to be Netherlands’ first ODI assignment since playing England in June, when they were whitewashed 0-3 by the visitors.

Pakistan, on the other hand, have been extremely dominant in white-ball cricket. Like the Netherlands, their last appearance in an ODI series came in June. It was against the West Indies and they walked out 3-0 winners.

Before that, they also defeated a mighty Australian side 2-1 in a three-match ODI series.

Meanwhile, the biggest absentee from the Pakistan squad for the Netherlands tour will be a certain Hasan Ali. Furthermore, Shaheen Shah Afridi has been included too, but captain Babar Azam has confirmed that the pacer will be rested for at least two ODIs.

Hasan Ali’s absence has opened doors for a lesser experienced fast bowler, with Naseem Shah being named in the squad. And since Pakistan are expecting the conditions to be better suited for pacers, Haris Rauf, Shahnawaz Dahani, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Wasim have all been selected for the tour.

Netherlands vs Pakistan head-to-head in ODI

The Netherlands vs Pakistan head-to-head record in ODI cricket is outrightly dominated by the latter, who have won each of their previous three meetings. Their first encounter came in February 1996 as Pakistan walked out victorious by eight wickets. Their next two meetings ended in a nine-wicket win and a 97-run win in 2002 and 2003 respectively.
