The NSK Trophy State T20 Championship 2023 is all set to get underway on March 29. The tournament will feature 35 matches and will continue till April 15.
The opening match of the tournament pits DCA Kannur against Combined Districts. The 18-day-long tournament will feature two matches on one particular day with the first encounter of the day starting at 9:45 AM IST while the second match will begin at 1:55 PM.
As many as 15 teams will be participating in this tournament. These sides are DCA Kollam, DCA Trichur, DCA Kozhikode, DCA Alappuzha, DCA Eranakulam, DCA Kannur, DCA Malappuram, Combined Districts, DCA Pathanamthitta, DCA Wayanad, DCA Trivandrum, DCA Palakkad, DCA Kottayam, DCA Idukki, and DCA Kazargode.
These 15 participating teams are divided into three groups, comprising five teams each in every group.
The five teams in Group A are Combined Districts, DCA Kannur, DCA Kollam, DCA Trichur, and DCA Kozhikode, while Group B comprises DCA Alappuzha, DCA Eranakulam, DCA Malappuram, DCA Pathanamthitta, and DCA Wayanad.
Group C is made up of DCA Trivandrum, DCA Palakkad, DCA Kottayam, DCA Idukki, and DCA Kazargode.
All matches in this tournament will be held at the St. Xavier’s College Ground in Thumba with each side contesting in at least four games during the group stage.
The final group stage encounter will take place on Wednesday, April 12 when DCA Kottayam will face DCA Iduki in a Group C encounter.
The teams that qualify for the knockout stage will compete in the quarter-finals on April 13 and the semi-finals on April 14. The final will be staged on April 15.
