The Nordic T20I Cup 2023 will begin on Thursday, May 18, and will witness four Nordic nations locking horns in their bid for supremacy.
This 20-over tournament will be played in Denmark and all the matches will take place at Svanholm Park in Brondby and Glostrup.
The upcoming edition of the tournament will be in a quadrangular format even though the previous edition wasn’t when it took place two years ago.
The four nations that will feature in this tournament are Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.
Denmark will head into this tournament with the expectation of winning it as they will be playing in front of their home fans and are the highest-ranked team at 39 in the ICC T20I rankings.
Finland is next in the rankings in 45th place, while Norway is two places below them in 47th position. Sweden is the lowest-ranked team in the ICC T20I rankings as they are in the 55th spot.
There will be a total of 10 matches in this tournament with each country taking on the others twice in a double round-robin format.
The top side in the standings at the end of these matches will be declared the winner. Denmark will take on Norway in the opening match of the tournament in what promises to be an exciting curtain-raiser to Nordic T20I Cup 2023. The final match of the tournament will be on May 21.
