Yorkshire (YOR) will take on Lancashire (LAN) in semi-final 1 of the Vitality T20 Blast 2022 at Edgbaston, Birmingham, on Saturday, July 16 at 3.30 PM IST.

YOR vs LAN Dream11 prediction

Yorkshire and Lancashire were both a part of the North Group of the T20 Blast 2022 and finished fifth and the second, respectively on the points table after the group stage.

LAN secured 18 points in 14 games, the same as table toppers Warwickshire and third-placed Derbyshire. Lancashire’s net run rate of 0.432 was more than that of Derbyshire (0.131) but less than Warwickshire’s (1.347), leaving them in the second spot.

Yorkshire, on the other hand, finished with 15 points in 14 games with a net run rate of 0.625, higher than Nottinghamshire, who also had the same number of points but finished with a net run rate of 0.058.

As far as their head-to-head is concerned, Lancashire have 18 wins as opposed to Yorkshire’s 13 wins in the 38 T20 games the two teams have played so far. Three games ended in ties and four were abandoned.

Courtesy their head-to-head record and finishing positions on the North Group table, Lancashire will be the favourites to win this semi-final contest.

YOR vs LAN Dream11 team tips for Vitality T20 Blast 2022

Top Tip: Best batter

YOR batter Adam Lyth has been among the top run-getters of the tournament this season. In 15 matches, he has managed 518 runs, spiced up with 59 fours and 22 sixes. He has scored at an average of 37 while maintaining a healthy run rate of 177.40. The 34-year-old cricketer is priced at 10.0 credits.

Top Tip: Best bowler

Jordan Thompson of YOR has been in good flow throughout the tournament. He has picked 17 wickets so far in the league in 15 games. Thompson boasts a four-wicket haul in this year’s tournament and has a good strike rate of 15.5. The 25-year-old can be added to fantasy teams for 9.0 fantasy points.

Top Tip: Best all-rounder and wicket-keeper

YOR captain David Willey is the in-demand all-rounder for the fixture. The England international is priced at 10.0 credits but besides his batting prowess, has been very handy with the ball this season. He picked up 5 wickets in the last two games alone, and scored a handy 30 with the bat in the 1-run win in the Quarter-Final. With him being gone for national duties for the Final, he will want to ensure the team is as close to victory as possible.

As for the wicket-keeper spot, Yorkshire gloveman Tom Kohler-Cadmore will be the preferred pick over his Lancashire counterpart Philip Salt. He has seven catches from 11 innings, and was declared the Player of the Match for his 62 (48) in the quarter-final match against Surrey, which Yorkshire just about won by a run. The 27-year-old has contributed to 323 runs with the bat, and is available for a pricey 9.0 credits.
