Sydney Sixers Women play Adelaide Strikers Women in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) 2022 final at the North Sydney Oval in Sydney, Australia. The game will start at 11:50 AM Indian Standard Time (IST) on Saturday, November 26.

Sydney Sixers Women made the final in the first four WBBL editions. After a three-season gap, the Ellyse Perry-led team features in the summit clash after excellent performances in the group stage.

Ellyse Perry and Alyssa Healy have been in commendable form with the bat. Perry is fourth on the list of top run-scorers in this edition, scoring 375 runs in 14 matches at an average of 41.66. Meanwhile, Healy is seventh with 329 runs, including an unbeaten 107 against the Scorchers. Ashleigh Gardner, the 25-year-old all-rounder, leads the wicket-taking charts for the Sixers with 23 wickets at an economy of 6.42.

The Sixers won 11 of the 14 group games, including five wins on the bounce, which sealed their spot in the final. Perry led the Sixers to back-to-back titles in the 2016 and 2017 WBBL seasons.

On the other hand, Adelaide Strikers, the runners-up in the previous edition, once again reached the final. Bridget Patterson’s 26-ball 45 was the catalyst in beating Brisbane Heat Women in the play-off. The Strikers also made the 2019 final, losing to Brisbane Heat by six wickets.

The Strikers’ Megan Schutt, the 29-year-old pacer, is the leading wicket-taker of WBBL 2022 with 26 wickets in 14 matches. Opening batter Laura Wolvaardt has smashed 388 runs at an average of 27.71 in this edition, making her the leading run-scorer for the team.

In the WBBL 2022, the Sixers won the first clash between the two sides by 17 runs. Meanwhile, in six days' time, the Strikers won a nail-biting encounter against the Sixers by three runs.
