Indian cricket team captain, Virat Kohli and wife Anushka Sharma, on Thursday, announced that the couple is expecting their first child, and the fans have gone into a frenzy. The news was announced by Anushka via an Instagram post where the actress wrote, “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021.”

Wishes poured in from her friends in Bollywood, with the likes of Alia Bhatt and Taapsee Pannu sending their congratulatory messages for the couple. From the sporting industry, the likes of KL Rahul and even Sania Mirza joined the fray ins wishing the couple.

Virat and Anushka tied the nuptial knot in a low-key ceremony in Italy in December 2017. They had first met on the sets of a commercial and dated for four years before getting married.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is currently in the United Arab Emirates for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League, which is set to begin on September 19 till November 10. In a recent Royal Challengers Bangalore's virtual meeting, Kohli warned all players against breaking safety rules designed to protect the participants from the global virus, saying that a player caught breaching the safety rules "is letting the whole team down.

Soon after the IPL, Kohli and his men will travel to Australia to play the much-awaited Test series in December.
