The West Indies women's national cricket team will lock horns with Ireland Women in a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series, starting on Monday, June 26.
The ODI series is part of the ICC Women’s Championship, which is used to determine qualification for the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup to be held in India in 2025.
West Indies Women have announced their 18-member squad to be led by star all-rounder Hayley Matthews.
Ahead of Ireland’s tour of West Indies 2023, the hosts have appointed Robert Samuels as their interim coach.
On the other hand, the Ireland Women’s national cricket team has also named their 15-women squad for the three-match ODI series. The visitors will be captained by Laura Delany.
All three matches of the ODI series will be played at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Saint Lucia.

West Indies Women have a dominant head-to-head record against Ireland Women in the ODI format. The Windies have won seven of the eight matches played against Ireland Women in 50-over cricket. The Irish outfit has registered just a solitary victory so far.
