The West Indies cricket team will host England in a five-match T20 International series starting on Wednesday, December 13.

The hosts will head into the T20I high on confidence after beating England 2-1 in the recently-concluded three-match ODI series. The Caribbean outfit clinched their first ODI series win over England at home for the first time since 1998.

As per the West Indies vs England T20Is 2023 schedule, the first match of the series will be played at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Both sides will later travel to Grenada to square off in the second and third T20I scheduled to be held at the Grenada National Cricket Stadium.

The fourth and final T20I will be played at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad and Tobago.

Ahead of the series, West Indies have announced their 15-member squad to be led by captain Rovman Powell.

Wicketkeeper-batter Shai Hope has been named Rovman Powell’s deputy.

All-rounder Andre Russell has returned to the West Indies T20I squad for the first time since the 2021 T20 World Cup.

The likes of Nicholas Pooran, Jason Holder and Kyle Mayers have been added to the squad after they missed the ODI series.

Young all-rounder Matthew Forde has received his maiden ODI call-up after impressing in the ODI series.

Left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie and all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford have also been recalled to the Windies squad.

On the other hand, the Jos Buttler-led England cricket team will aim to bounce back in the upcoming T20I series.

Moeen Ali, Reece Topley, Chris Woakes and Adil Rashid will feature in the T20I series after being excluded from the ODI series.

While left-arm pacer Tymal Mills has been recalled, batter David Malan has been dropped from the squad.

Both West Indies and England will look to prepare themselves ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 to be held in the West Indies and the United States in June next year.

West Indies have a superior head-to-head record against England in T20 international cricket, winning 14 of the 24 matches played between these two sides. England have registered 10 victories.

The last time these two sides met in the shortest format, West Indies pipped England 3-2 in a thrilling five-match T20I series in the Caribbean in 2022.
