Fresh off from a seven-wicket win in the first Test against Bangladesh, West Indies’ recent run of form in the longest format has been outstanding. Before their recent win, the Calypso Kings defeated England 1-0 in the three-match Test series (two draws).
However, it’s important to note that there has been a gap of three months between their last Test assignment (England series) and the ongoing one (Bangladesh). Between this time, they have also lost three consecutive ODIs against Pakistan whilst beating Netherlands 3-0 in as many 50-over matches.
For Bangladesh, their results in the longest format have been extremely troubling. In May, they lost 0-1 to Sri Lanka after going down 0-2 against South Africa earlier.
