The final day of the Virtual Five5 Cricket World Championship 2020 saw the spectators get treated to some truly stellar displays in the simulated reality league cricket tournament on an individual front.

We take a closer look at three of the best batting performances from the fifth and final day of the tournament.

Chris Gayle vs SA

Even though WI failed to make the final, it was through no shortage of trying from Caris Gayle.

Tasked with a winning target of 52 runs by SA, Gayle wasted no time as he whacked a trio of boundaries in the opening over itself. However, the same could not be said of fellow opener Evin Lewes, whose conservative innings, which saw just one boundary, was nowhere on par with Gayles' and held back WI's chase and dashed their hopes of making the final.

Shikhar Dhaven vs ENG

While the semi-final match against ENG saw uncharacteristically early dropouts from IND's star batsmen Rohan Sharma and Viraj Kohli, Shikhar Dhaven kept a steady head and consistently accumulated runs.

His 27-run knock off 13 balls included five boundaries and with the equally dependable MS Dhanraj backing him up, IND managed to easily chase down ENG and reach the final.

Rohan Sharma vs SA

After his ignominious dismissal for a single in the semi-final, Rohan Sharma more than made up for it with a performance we typically expect from the 'Hitman'.

His blistering knock included three sixes and four boundaries, culminating in a 38-run haul off 14 balls. With Shikhar Dhaven and Viraj Kohli relegated to the shadows with four runs each, Sharma was clearly the star of the day.
