Mumbai, on the other hand, marched into the final on the back of a convincing 72-run win over a formidable Karnataka outfit. The Prithvi Shaw-led side has been utterly dominant this season, winning all of their seven games. Two of those victories have come with a margin of 200-plus runs.
Mumbai captain Prithvi Shaw, in particular, has been playing on an entirely different spectrum, accumulating 754 runs in seven matches, scoring at a staggering average of 188.50. His recent knock was a 122-ball 165 against Karnataka in the semi-final.
The batting heavy Mumbai side will arguably enter the final as favourite, but while Shaw has topped the batting charts, Uttar Pradesh’s Shivam Sharma has been doing the same with the ball, picking 20 wickets in seven matches at an average of 14.20 with an economy rate of 4.22.
