The ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 Europe qualifiers will start on August 6 and run till August 12 in the Netherlands.
The winner of the Europe qualifiers will qualify for the U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 to be held in Sri Lanka.
Hosts Netherlands, Guernsey, Italy, Jersey, Norway and Scotland are the six teams that will compete in the upcoming U19 Cricket World Cup Europe qualifiers.
In the Europe qualifiers, each team will play in a round-robin format. The team finishing at the top of the standings after all league matches will advance to the marquee ICC U19 50-over cricket tournament.
The U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 Europe qualifiers will be hosted in three venues in the Netherlands; the Hazelaarweg Cricket Ground, Sportpark Westvliet and Sportpark Thurlede.
As many as 16 teams will feature in the 15th edition of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2024. The tournament will be hosted in Sri Lanka for the first time since 2006.
Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, Pakistan, South Africa, West Indies and Zimbabwe have automatically qualified for the U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 courtesy their top 11 finish in the 2022 edition. The remaining five spots will be determined by regional qualification.
Nepal and New Zealand have also secured their spots after winning Asia and East Asia-Pacific qualifiers, respectively.
