West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, on Wednesday, became the first player to scalp 500 wickets in T20 cricket. The paceman achieved the feat while representing Trinbago Knight Riders against St. Lucia Zouks in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League.

Bravo, the most successful bowler on the night, picked two wickets for a mere seven runs in three overs as his side managed to restrict Zouks to 111/6 in a rain-affected game. A quickfire unbeaten 23 off just 13 deliveries then capped off a perfect night for the all-rounder as his side registered a six-wicket victory to remain unbeaten in this year's competition.

The 36-year-old who has been largely impressive in the domestic T20 Leagues, having won three IPL and CPL trophies with Chennai Super Kings and Trinbago respectively, has picked 59 wickets in his international T20 career, while it took him 459 games to reach the 500-wicket mark.

Most wickets in T20 cricket:

501* – Dwayne Bravo

390 – Lasith Malinga

383 – Sunil Narine

374 – Imran Tahir

356 – Sohail Tanvir

354 – Shakib Al Hasan

The all-rounder had announced his retirement from international cricket in 2018 to focus more on the domestic circuit, but in December 2019, he officially made himself available for selection in the West Indies T20I side for their journey in the T20 World Cup, which was initially scheduled in 2020, but the global pandemic forced the ICC to push it back to October 2021.

Meanwhile, the Chennai Super Kings' marksman has been receiving wishes for reaching the landmark and this is how the fans are reacting to it:
