Sydney Thunder (THU) will take on Brisbane Heat (HEA) in the second match of Big Bash League 2021-22 at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on Monday, December 6.

Led by Usman Khawaja, Sydney Thunder had finished third in the group stage last season, registering eight wins in 14 matches. Interestingly, the Thunder were knocked out by Brisbane Heat in the Knockout final.

On the other hand, Chris Lynn-led Brisbane Heat had made a late charge in BBL 10, only to bow out to Perth Scorchers in the Challenger final. Ahead of the new season, the Heat have appointed Jimmy Pierson as their new captain in place of Lynn, who decided to relinquish his duties in order to focus more on his batting.

As far as all-rounders are concerned, one can pick Brisbane Heat’s Marnus Labuschagne in your fantasy cricket team. The 27-year-old had scored 176 runs in six matches at a strike rate of 123.07. He also picked 10 wickets in the tournament. At 9.5 credits, Labuschagne can be a valuable addition in any fantasy cricket team.

For the wicket-keeper spot, Sydney Thunder’s Sam Billings pips Brisbane Heat captain Jimmy Pierson due to his match-winning capabilities with the bat. The Englishman is a dangerous middle-order batter who can change the course of the match in a few overs.
