The 2023 Southern African Cup began on Saturday, May 27, and it will finish on Thursday, June 1.
Organised by the African Cricket Association, this T20 tournament is the first of three cricket tournaments that will determine the eight teams that will advance to the 2023 ACA Africa T20 Cup.
The ongoing Southern African Cup 2023 covers the south and central regions of Africa. The five teams that are competing in this tournament are Botswana, Eswatini, Malawi, Mauritius, and Mozambique.
Each of these teams will square off against each other in a round-robin format and the top three teams in the 2023 Southern African Cup table will qualify for the 2023 ACA Africa T20 Cup.
A total of 10 matches are slated to take place in this tournament and Mauritius already beat Mozambique by three wickets in the competition’s opening match.
All the matches in this tournament will be taking place at Willowmoore Park in Benoni, South Africa and a maximum of two matches will be played each day.
