The South Africa women's national cricket team will host Bangladesh in a three-match T20 international series starting on Sunday, December 3.

As per the South Africa Women vs Bangladesh Women T20I 2023 schedule, the first game of the three-match series will be played at Willowmoore Park in Benoni.

The two sides will later travel to Kimberley to square off in the second and third T20Is scheduled to be held at the Diamond Oval on December 6 and 8, respectively.

Meanwhile, star batter Laura Wolvaardt has been named full-time captain of South Africa Women ahead of the tour.

Wolvaardt achieved success in her stint as the temporary captain as she guided the Proteas to back-to-back ODI series wins over Pakistan and New Zealand.

The hosts will miss the services of their experienced all-rounder Marizanne Kapp after she was rested for the upcoming T20I series.

A few of the Proteas’ senior players including Ayabonga Khaka, Chloè Tryon, and Nadine de Klerk are unavailable for the T20I series due to injuries.

On the other hand, the Bangladesh women's national cricket team will head into the series high on confidence after winning both the recently-concluded ODI and T20I series’ against Pakistan 2-1.

Bangladesh Women have also announced their 16-member T20I squad to be led by captain Nigar Sultana.

All-rounder Lata Mondal has returned to the Bangladesh Women T20I squad.

Home advantage aside, South Africa will be favourite to win the series and the ICC women’s T20I rankings certainly backs them to do so. They are ranked fifth in the ICC women’s T20I team rankings, while Bangladesh are ninth.
