The South Africa vs West Indies 2023 cricket series is set to begin from February 28 at the SuperSport Park Cricket Stadium. The West Indies tour of South Africa 2023 will consist of two Test matches - the first at the SuperSport Park Cricket Stadium, followed by the second at the Wanderers Stadium.

The two teams last played against each other in 2021 in Tests. The two-match series in the West Indies saw the South Africa cricket team beat the host nation 2-0.

Neither side are in the race to make the World Test Championship (WTC) 2021-23 final.

While South Africa are currently fourth in the WTC standings, West Indies are in sixth spot.

The Proteas’ record in their last five Tests doesn’t make for kind reading as they’ve lost four of their last five matches, while the Windies have two losses and three wins in their last five red-ball matches.

As far as the head-to-head between these teams in Tests are concerned, the Proteas boast a dominant record. Out of the 30 matches between the two teams, South Africa have won 20 and three games have finished in favour of West Indies while seven ended in draws.
