The Bangla Tigers arrive with some form in red-ball cricket, having drawn the two-match Test series against New Zealand. This was their first away series draw against a top Test-playing nation since Sri Lanka in 2017.
After winning the ODI series 2-1, Bangladesh will aim to carry the momentum into the longest format.
South Africa, meanwhile, have not lost a Test series since the 0-2 loss to Pakistan in 2021. As far as their home form is concerned, the Proteas have won five and lost five of their recent matches and will look to turn things around against Bangladesh.
