Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly turned 48 on Wednesday, and wishes came pouring in from all corners. Among them were, of course, his many cricketing compadres including the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and Virender Sehwag.

Taking to Twitter, Tendulkar wrote, "Happy Birthday Dadi! Hope our-off field partnership keeps going strong like our on-field ones. Wish you a blessed year ahead."

Considered by many as one of India’s most influential captains, Ganguly played 113 Tests, 311 ODIs and scored more than 18000 runs. Amongst the many was the cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir, who wrote, "May good bless you with long and healthy life!"

The likes of VVS Laxman, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif also joined the party.
