Led by Marcus Harris, Australia A defeated Sri Lanka A by 68 runs in the first unofficial Test at the same venue to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
Electing to bat first, Australia A posted 379 in their first innings before bowling out Sri Lanka A for 274 in their first innings.
