Senior Women’s Challenger One Day Trophy 2021-22 to begin on December 4 - watch live in India

The 10th edition of the Senior Women’s Challenger One Day Trophy will begin on Saturday, December 4. The final will be played on December 9.

India Red won the previous edition of the tournament. The upcoming edition will feature India A, India B, India C, and India D being led by Sneh Rana, Taniya Bhatia, Shikha Pandey and Pooja Vastrakar respectively as they battle it out for a place in the final on December 9 besides a shot at getting their hands on the title. 

The players who featured in the recently concluded Women’s Big Bash including the likes of Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, Shafali Verma and Richa Ghosh have been rested. Only Poonam Yadav, who played in the Women’s Big Bash, will be a part of the upcoming tournament.

Senior players like Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami have also been rested keeping the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup in consideration. 

All matches of the four-team tournament will be played at Dr. Gokaraju Laila Ganga Raju ACA Cricket Complex and DVR Ground in Vijayawada. After all teams square off against each other once, the two best performing sides will earn their spots in the final.
