Scorchers Women will take on Typhoons Women in the sixth One-Day match of the Women’s Super Series ODD 2021 at the North Kildare Cricket Club in Ireland on Sunday, May 23.
Led by Gaby Lewis, Scorchers Women made an incredible start to the campaign, winning both their opening two matches. The Scorchers defeated the Typhoons by 14 runs in the first match and followed it up with a four-wicket win in their second encounter.
However, Orla Prendergast-led Typhoons bounced back strongly in the fourth round to beat the Scorchers by 33 runs.
Heading into the sixth round, Scorchers lead Ireland’s peak domestic women’s cricket tournament 2-1 as the third and fifth round matches were abandoned due to rain.
