South Castries Lions (SCL) will host Vieux Fort (VFNR) on Saturday at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in West Indies in the 18th match of St Lucia T10 Blast 2021.
The South Castries Lions have made a shaky start to their campaign by losing their campaign opener. They currently sit 10th in the St Lucia T10 Blast 2021 points table with a net run rate (NRR) of -1.649.
On the other hand, Vieux Fort have managed a win in two matches and sit in the seventh position with two points and a net run rate (NRR) of -0.371.

Tariq Gabriel will be the batsman to watch out for VFNR after his brilliant opening knock of 45 runs in just 26 balls against CCMH in the first match. He hit six boundaries and a maximum to stay unbeaten at a strike rate of 173.1. Though he couldn't carry his momentum against MVC, he is expected to maintain his form against SCL.
SCL captain Johnson Charles will be the best bet for his side despite a quiet start to his campaign. Playing against ME, opening batsman Charles hit two boundaries to score 10 runs off six balls. He will be expected to take more responsibility in SCL's next match.
Top tip: best Bowler
Johann Williams of VFNR will be the pick of the bowlers against SCL. Playing against CCMH, the bowler had conceded just six runs in two overs and took wickets in the process. Though he went wicketless against MVC, he conceded just 10 runs in 2 overs.
Shervon Leo was the best bowler for SCL in the last game, taking two wickets while conceding 24 runs. Despite being expensive, the bowler is likely to give more points.

Neither VFNR's wicket-keeper Junior Peter nor SCL's gloveman Noelle Leo have been exceptional in their performances so far. However, Peter has played more games and has 21 runs in two matches. Therefore, he will take less time to get into a groove against SCL and should be a decent pick.
VFNR skipper Al Prince will be a clear pick for the all-rounder going into this game. While SCL are still deciding on their combinations after just one game, Prince has already bagged three wickets in two matches. Though he is yet to click with the bat, it is just a matter of time before he fires.
