The first semi-final of ECS T10 Kiel 2021 will see SC Europa (SCE) taking on Kummerfelder Sportverein (KSV) on Saturday, June 12 at the Kiel Cricket Ground.
KSV are on quite a run this season. In eight group stage games, the team won seven matches and finished at the top of Group B. SCE, on the other hand, won four of their eight matches and finished third. Both teams, however, will be riding high on confidence after winning their respective quarter-final matches.

Both SCE and KSV have already met twice in the tournament this season and the latter has come out victorious on both occasions. Given the fact that KSV have lost only one game in the competition makes them the overwhelming favourites to win this tie and qualify for the final.

Top-tip: Best batsman
SCE’s Top-order batsman Bilal Shinwari was exceptional in the previous outing, scoring 20 runs in 12 balls as his team defeated 1.Kieler HTC in the quarter-final. The 25-year-old batsman is, in fact, the top run-scorer for his team, accumulating 141 runs in eight games at an average of 47.00. He is highly tipped to have a big say in the semi-final.
For KSV, captain Shoaib Azam could be a decent pick given his form in the tournament. In eight matches so far, the opener has scored 202 runs at an average of 33.66 and a strike rate of a whopping 200.
Top-tip: Best bowlers
A late entrant into the tournament, 22-year-old Wahidullah Amini has been a revelation for SCE. He will head into the contest on the back of a six-wicket haul against KHTC and has overall picked eight wickets in just three matches. You might as well think of making him your captain as he is known for his batting prowess too.
As far as a KSV bowler is concerned, Avi Soni remains an outright pick. The bowler has not only been economical but has also picked nine wickets in eight matches, including three in his team’s previous match against First Contact.
Top Tip: Best all-rounder and wicket-keeper
Israfeel Aryubi of SCE has been one of the best all-rounders in the tournament. The 31-year-old has scored 131 runs for his team so far and has picked seven wickets as well. He remains an important member for his team.
Wicket-keepers are a real scarcity in the tournament this season, so if one has to pick, Zaid Hasan of KSV could be a decent pick.
