The knockout stage of the Ranji Trophy 2022 season will begin on Monday, June 6.

The Ranji Trophy, one of India’s oldest cricket tournaments, will begin its second phase following the conclusion of the Indian T20 League 2022. The initial phase was played between February 17 and March 3.

The teams in Ranji Trophy 2022 were initially divided into nine groups - eight Elite and one Plate. While each Elite group consisted of four teams, the Plate group had six teams.

The seven top-placed teams from eight Elite groups have qualified directly for the quarter-finals. These include Bengal, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Mumbai, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.

Meanwhile, the lowest-ranked Elite group team, Jharkhand, won a pre-quarterfinal match against the Plate Group topper Nagaland to reach the final eight.

The Ranji Trophy 2022 knockout stage will be played entirely in Bangalore.
